Storyhouse is a story-capture service committed to helping you and your loved ones gather and preserve the memories you hold most dear. Our personal historians conduct in-person interviews at your home or family gathering, then produce timeless videos, books and websites to help you share your stories now and for generations.

Your stories are worth preserving.

Storyhouse helps you gather your favorite family anecdotes, jokes, and recipes, photos and videos, then turns them into a multimedia collection.

Many of our services begin with an in-person interview in the privacy of your own home or at your next family reunion, anniversary party or wedding and result in a priceless video, book or website you can share now and for generations to come.

Where do your memories live?

WHY STORYHOUSE?

Every customer we've helped said that they've been thinking about doing this for their parent or grandparent for years, but never got around to it. Perhaps it's because they don't know where to start or that they're too busy. Often though, they don't feel like they get enough quality time with their loved one, so when they do, the last thing they want to do is pull out a mic and a camera.

Storyhouse personal historians are passionate about helping each family gather the stories that matter most to them. We've found that working with the family to ensure that we ask all of the right questions is key and that having a third party conduct the interview can often illicit some surprising stories the family may not have been able to extract otherwise.

BEN LEFFLER, PARTNER & ADVISOR

Also a native Austinite (rare breed), Ben worked for several startups and freelanced for a few local publications after graduating from UT and decided to return to grad school there to pursue Public Policy. He’s worked in a number of policy-related positions, but was interested in taking on a new challenge in the startup space, so happily jumped on board when the opportunity presented itself at Storyhouse.

MONICA FLORES, PRODUCER

Monica Flores has a master's degree in Journalism/Radio Television Film from the University of Texas at Austin. Her 10+ years of production work include experience in broadcast television, documentary, advertising, as well as in on-line projects. Her on-going & ever-expanding hobby is documenting her own family histories, so working for Storyhouse is a perfect match!
